Certificate from the National Council for Persons with Disabilities
Rwanda Action has been recognised by the Rwandan National Council for Persons with Disability for our work in promoting disability and inclusion. Isaac received the award on 3rd December, which is International Day of Persons Living with Disabilities.
This comes as Isaac and Divine have been developing our inclusive education programme in schools across Rusizi district. One Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator has been selected and trained in each of the 18 sectors and they are now supporting teachers to adapt their teaching and classrooms to make them more accessible to children living with disabilities and those with special educational needs. They are proving to be very effective agents of change and this will change the lives of some children.
