Welcoming the new Country Director in Rwanda

We are very excited about Rwanda Action's next chapter, under the leadership of Phoebe Kamuzima. Phoebe started work at our office in Kamembe today and received a very warm welcome from the team. She comes with great experience, having previously managed a large team and led projects across the Western Province of Rwanda. She is familiar with the rural communties we work with and her personal outlook on the work of non-governmental organisations aligns perfectly with our goal of empowering communities to reduce poverty.

Phoebe will quickly familiarise herself with our work as our project managers are already delivering towards the targets in this fiscal year's action plan, which started at the beginning of July. She will strengthen our relationships with government and organisations from other sectors in Rwanda and will be seeking in-country funding to support our work.

In my new role as CEO, I see this as a great step towards our ambition of increasing capacity and decision making in Rwanda. I am so excited about working with Phoebe, who brings great skills to our management team.
